Description:A St. Patrick's Day celebration not to miss! Here is an early season 10K or Half Marathon to start your year off right. A mostly downhill course will get you prepped for meeting at the Pub after the race. In addition, all proceeds of this run will be donated to four local charities: Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Headwaters Academy, GallEP and Haven formerly known as the Network.

Fees:$35 - 10K & Half marathon; $40 day prior; No race day registration

Online Registration Closes: Thursday, March 11, 2010 @ 11:59 AM. Prefer to pre-register in person? You can Wednesday thru Friday, March 10 thru 12 from 5 PM – 8 PM at Pub 317.

Packet Pickup: Sign up early and pick up your packet at Fleet Feet in Bozeman the day prior or on race morning between 8:00 and 9:00 AM at Pub 317. Come early to avoid the mad rush. Busses will transport runners to the start at 9:15 AM for the 10:00 AM half marathon gun and 9:45 AM for the 10:30 AM 10K gun.

We are offering chip timing through Perfect Timing this year, with the ChronoTrack D-tag.  When you pick up your bib number, the paper D-tag timing chip will already be attached to it. You will need to peel it off and attach it to your shoelace.  Each participant must wear both 1) the bib number pinned to the FRONT of whatever garment you will be wearing at the Finish Line, and 2) the paper D-tag timing chip attached to the shoe.  It is important that every participant wear both the bib on the shirt and the plastic D-tag chip on the shoe.  You will be timed only if you correctly wear the plastic chip on your shoe.  Afterwards, you can keep the tag as a memento, or recycle it in available buckets, or toss it.

Awards & Goodies: All runners receive a mug, a T-shirt, and post race party at the 317 Pub! Awards given to overall top three finishers plus top teams and best costume. Results for each 10-year age group will be at www.perfect-timing.org.

Chance for a Trip to the Dublin Marathon
We will be giving away a trip for two to the Dublin marathon to one lucky runner, including airfare, three nights at a Dublin hotel and marathon entry fees. To be eligible, you don't need to win the Run to the Pub, you just need to finish. After the Run to the Pub, a drawing will be held to select the winner of the Dublin marathon trip. The Dublin marathon is October 25, 2010, in case you didn't have that on your calendar yet.

Julie Zichovich won the 2009 trip we gave away and did go to Dublin and ran in the marathon.

Course: The half marathon course will start on Patterson Road heading west and loop south in order to catch the 10K course for the finish. The 10K starts at Nash and South 3rd, heads to Goldenstein, hooks up with the city trail system and finishes steps away from the 317 Pub at 321 East Main St. It is mostly downhill. The trail section may be muddy or icy, so be prepared!
